Where am I Leaking From?

...In reference to my car

Got under the car yesterday and removed the metal brace/shield undertray. Bottom of the oil sump pan is covered in oil.
I'm suspecting the oil sump pan gasket has deteriorated hence the leak? Is this a common issue on the 3.0i M54? The car has been off road for a few years...

If I need to replace the oil sump pan gasket, what else is worthwhile replacing/looking out for while I'm there?

Dont do the sump gasket until u have cancelled out the cam cover gasket and oil filter housing gasket first.

Hi Chris,

The rocker cover gasket was done a few years back as it was seeping oil onto the manifold, then burning off with a smoke which smelled like oil burning obviously. This hasn't returned so I'm assuming that the cam cover gasket should be fine?

Will have a look at the oil filter housing gasket

I had my rocker cover gasket done a couple of years ago. It’s gone again. It’s all brittle. Getting done again next weekend.
