When will this idiocy end ?

I guess when we have the UK | EU referendum it will show what people 'actually want' and not what 'we are told we want'

do you think we get a in in / out referendum question ? (i dont) do you think the Sun or the daily mail will give people independent information to help people make an informed choice - or just drive their own political agenda ?

Yes..roll on the eu referendum.

This annoys the hell out of me.
In my work (as an Electrician),i see alot of eastern european imigrants,as "tennants" who come here, get flats/houses paid for them and also get unemployment and child benefits, and will never do a days work/dont want to.They also end up getting new Kitchens,Bathrooms and Heating systems installed with all the other council tennnants :headbang:

This country is at breaking point, imo, regards the amount of ppl we can allow into the country, and those already here,be them foreign or not,who are allowed to claim every benefit going and contribute nothing!!
As its not just foreigners..too many HOME-GROWN spongers too
(I Have new neighbours who dont work, run a car, have a dog and a small child, yet are getting their rent paid for them/as house recently sold to a Landlord :headbang: ,and they probably have a similar household income as my own personal wage/after deductons, etc).

Makes u proud to be British,eh

What I do think Chris is that the tectonic plates between the ruling government and the working citizens are beginning to grind - what comes of this we will have to wait and see...

its all a load of s--t if you havnt earned you cant claim that should be the rule if you have no job to go to and no living arrangements should not be let in to the country.

nice analogy :-)

come the revolution eh ..... i do think our form of politics needs a significant change, but i don't think the common man can empower itself effectively in a "civilized" society

i think the first step is to decouple the press form the ruling class - and i dont see that happening anytime soon

Its plain the vast majority of us are like minded & far from extreme in our thoughts . All i want is common sense but it appears no matter who govern's they are so detached from reality they have scant regard for our views .
i would propose an open door to all comers but make it perfectly clear that until any individual has paid a certain level of income tax then there will be no benefit whatsoever .
Its perfectly obvious that migrants choose the uk as their destination purely for the ease of which they can access our welfare state .
The benefit system is one we need but it would be better if it was given out more as it was intended . the amount pensioners receive as a living amount is nothing short of insulting & ridiculous .
If the government state the minimum wage is £6.20 x 39 hours then that is what a pension should be & if it takes saying NO to immigrants benefits to fund it so what ? Sure the majority of the country given the chance would vote for it

I think i agree with that mr wilkes. - i think that works for people in the country - immigrant or not.

The UK is on the road to ruin, your peanalised here for working and laziness is encouraged. Please no more imigrants until we can atleast afford to look after our own. Low pay, high taxes and high unemployment, a welfare system that is badly run and badly abused, a health service thats dying, funding the defence of other nations while ours is under attack from within...why are the government blind to all this when its so easy to see?

The government are only in this for themselves, and their one aim is to hang onto power at any cost. They'll promise the earth to get in and then fail to deliver. Some kind of "revolution" is needed to kick this bunch into touch.

Look at Plebgate. Andrew Mitchell may or may not have called the police at the centre of this "plebs", frankly who cares. We don't need him calling them plebs to know that a multi-millionaire politician thinks he's better than the rest of us and should be able to do whatever the hell he likes. What he did admit to was swearing at them, which for just about anyone else in this country would get you arrested. Yet because there's some doubt over the use of the word "pleb" there's a real chance the man will get a ministerial job rather than being fired completely, as he should have been. These f*ckers are going to keep going until the policemen involved lose their jobs, and I'd put the chances of the two who he swore at ever getting promoted much beyond where they are slim to none.

+1 seems to me the focus is on getting the police on a charge of perverting the course by enhancing the evidence. As it is, irrespective of the outcome of that investigation (and the ensuing very costly, lengthy, independent review that is bound to follow) Mitchell swore at the police, treated them with contempt, and is not suitable for a position of authority. And he's a dick.

Tapatalking...

Makes my blood boil to see all the lazy spongers get everything while I work 60 hrs a week to see it all go in tax to fund the feckers. We've got it all so wrong right now.Bliar and Broon brought over millions of them, fed them with benefits knowing that they'd all vote Labour to keep themselves here. Now we're stuck with them.We need to send them all home and look after our own. Trouble is, we got some of the good ones, but rather too many of the bad ones.If their benefits were stopped and free housing and medical care withdrawn, they'd soon clear off back home and sponge off their own nation. I sound like a little englander, I'm not I'm just sick of being taken for a ride.None of the current politicians have a clue, truly worrying. :x

Now i,m no racist but i would love somebody to explain how this is still acceptable when we as a country are supposedly cutting back on welfare .
Nobody wants anymore from anywhere coming here for benefits . we've got enough spongers already

We are all part of the EU but if i want to move next year to France yet can,t find work i am entitled to zero benefits . same in Spain & Italy .
WHY is the UK so obviously giving our money away ?

You just couldn't make it up could you, :headbang: the sooner we're out of the EU the better.

Although a crime of equal proportion is yourself mr wilks...reading the Daily Mail, how could you :o :)

i think all this began when someone misinterpreted socialism a few years back. means of production should be redistributed, but that bit is skipped and the rewards of production are redistributed instead.

the country has been in freefall since - in fairness isn't there an argument that says votes should be somehow weighted in a direct proportion to how much tax you pay? there is a clear conflict of interest if people who have no intention of working vote, they will vote for whoever gives them the most in handouts..

that is rather contentious for christmas eve...hmmmm.

eta..big taxpayers would vote for whichever party allowed them to suffer the least tax. my argument's flawed! i knew it..

merry christmas anyway!

We all moan about it but don't do anything about it;there are two choices under the present democratic process, either vote UKIP or BNP.

by the time they mature enough to appear less loony, they will have their noses in the trough and you wont be able to tell them apart - but right now - they feel like wasted votes, we need a new type of government entirely - possibly even a new paradigm.
