When paint correction/detailing goes wrong

I had lots of stone chips on my front bumper, called my local detailer and asked the question could you do anything and finish my car off with a ceramic sealant..
Not a problem he replied all full of confidence.
So what am I left with? Well I have a shiny Z4 but a ugly front bumper, he wet sanded down to the primer and the paint looked like it was brushed on by a 5 year old. :headbang:
Drived my zed straight from detailer to a body shop to book in a bumper respray

Before shot of bumper

After shot after detailer applied his magic

And final picture of a shiny Z4 sadly the sun was hiding behind the clouds

Haha , black is absolute pig to correct & then stay on top of , after way too many black cars i realise if you want to actually drive them then they will attract marks, scuffs, scratches & chips like no other paint shade
Great when freshly waxed though

I keep saying I will never buy another black car but I always seem to end up with black :driving:
My 330d X drive is grey and that's the way forward for me in the future

:P me too , then i suddenly found myself with a Z4 , family C Class & dailydrive van all black  since swapped the black Z for a grey one & once the C Class goes it will not be replaced with a black car :(

This afternoon I've used my de-Nibber to take the tops of about 20 cops I filled in last weekend. Just need a quick polish and you would never know they were there.

Did he really go down to the undercoat, or did it just look like that because he didn't polish it back.

It's down to the undercoat,
I used the flash on my iPhone when taking the picture that's why the quality is poor as I had to hide the car in the garage lol.
In the back of my mind I thought it would end up having a respray.

That's bizarre, I've painted stone chips on both the Z and the Merc and wet sanded them back with extremely fine paper before polishing to a shine and have never seen a result like the one you show. Seems very badly thought through by the person doing the work...

No I'm paying for respray, but didn't pay full amount for rest of work.

Full amount? Pardon?

More like any amount, or you pay full amount and he pays for respray.

He should have offered anyway. Terrible service.
