You have to go and buy another!

My Mum is now 95, so if I take her anywhere we need to take a Zimmer, wheeled walker or wheel-chair. Any of which will fit in my 325ti Compact daily, but would fit so much better in a Touring. :) (As will sets of wheels, etc.)

So today I put a deposit on an 06 plate E91 325i Touring (which means my 325ti will be for sale).

It's hard to believe it has done 132K looking at those seats! But I think it will need some new wheels.

Nice one Mr t

I had an e92 early last year a 325i manual. Nice car but no where as near as entertaining to drive as the e46. It'll be ideal for your mum though!

Your way to nice, I've already told the parents they are going in to a home as soon as they start showing signs of old age :D

I picked the E91 up today - it is an SE, and just feels so relaxed after the 325ti. :?

Maybe I'm getting soft in my old age, but on 205/55 x 16 tyres it just drives so well. Coming home tonight I didn't go over 90 (kph obviously :) ) but it is so much more refined than my E46 Compact!

And if there is one thing my E86 doesn't do, refinement is it!

Looks like I may have found a good combination.

Glad you like it.

Refinement is one reason I sold the Z4 as I enjoyed driving our 330i e91 on the weekends almost as much. Has a better front end in terms of grip too. You do feel the weight though with the long gearing. Door clunk sound to rival a much more expensive car unlike the tinny Z4.

That's one of the reasons I wasn't too fussed about holding out for a 330i - I want my Z4 to still feel special. :)

Agree with you on the door clunk - so much better than the E46!
