When is Top Gear NOT scripted?

:o that's a big understatement, hope it was a mechanical fault and not pilot error, seemed to hang in mid air before the crash.

Talk about having a bad day at work. Yikes! Glad they are OK. But. I think his no claim discount may be in jeopardy though.

I do believe that having a full harness and a flight helmet served him very well indeed. Plus it looks as if he had just enough forward momentum to keep from falling straight down.

Many years (about 60) ago I saw an RAF pilot (air sea rescue) have a similar accident off the coast at Cullercoats/Tynemouth. A low level turn (too low as it happens) and his blades clipped the sea! oops! He ditched it!

Who won then?!

At the Royal international air tattoo about 7 years ago an Italian pilot made a steep approach and landing taking most of the load on his front wheel which then collapsed - whoops that was pilot error. No one hurt and quits exciting at the time. :o
