I had the exact same issue.... I spent so many hours looking for the problem I was going nuts. I must have searched google 30+ times and never found a solution till now(was getting close to swallowing hard and taking it into the dealership). Thanks! Saved me some bucks.

All I need is a reset on the airbag light and I'll be good to go.

Glad you found it then Of course, you need to remove the unit (if you haven't already done so). If reinstalling, just snip and cap the five wires -- and then splice in the new module. Too bad resetting the SRS light is not always an easy task.

I had the SRS light reset at the dealer, installed a replacement GAPTech module, bought an EXTRA one from Gary for safekeeping, and have not had another problem since my original post.

Sometimes electronics just fail.

Interesting i have just started to experiance random electrical problems and remembered this post.

I'm going to remove mine tomorrow and see if this fixes it.

Its either that or i need a new battery (but the car starts first time)
