gannet, Did you vote then?

what would I vote for, I simply don't know the answer myself :idunno:

I sometimes think I should change because of the age of the car and running costs, but then I think well I don't have any finance on it and there is nothing wrong with it (apart from the usual things wearing out) and then I go for a drive :driving: and come back with a big :D

I do think I will change it but just not sure what with. I keep playing with the idea of trying to find a modern 'classic' such as a mint 205 GTi but never get past that stage.... Then mrs gannet wants something doing with the house, which naturally takes precedence...

I agree with a lot of what Dreamer says. I see it as bang for buck. I don't think a £30k car would give me 3 times as much fun as my £10k Z4. It might do if I had my own empty road network to race around, or a track,..but I don't,.. and most of the public roads are either crammed, full of potholes, or both.

I will be investing my other £20k for now and keeping the Z4 as long as possible (subject only to maybe a second hand Z4M at some point). Then if I ever find myself in a position where I have house paid for a more money than I need I will then happily fritter the rest away on cars.

The home should always come first

Probably 3-4 years and then will look to go down the 997 Carrera 4S or Aston Martin V8 Vantage route. I'd love a 997GT3 but they just won't have come down in price enough for me. All of this is true unless of course BMW do an E89 M with a V8 in it.......

As a summer driver only since new, it will still have less than 150,000 miles 10 years from now, so I can see myself keeping it for that long.

I honestly don't know :|
I've had it for 2 years now and I can't see me getting rid of it any time soon. I love it.
There should be a 'Don't know' option...

There should also be a 'Sold' option, had my Z4 for 18 months and loved every minute but just fancied a change.
