As George Bernard Shaw said ....... "We don't stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing."

36 isn't old!

I bought my 1st Z4 at 55, and am now on my 2nd - I plan to grow old disgracefully! :)

I'm what some may consider a "young'un" at 36, but this is the first year where I've started to feel like I'm getting old.

I have a weak knee, I can't walk barefoot in my house as my feet hurt too much and I've had to trim my ear hair weekly for the past few months.

So tell me, when did you start to feel like you were getting old?

I think you said it, it’s 36.

I’m 36.

I was older than that when I got my Z4. It’s a mind thing ‘think old’ you’ve become ‘old’ :oldman: :P

As a teacher, you know you're old when your classes are populated by children whose parents you taught a generation ago :o
Physically .... when I needed help to extricate myself from laying up-side-down in the foot-well of a car I was trying wire the dashboard of. Now 64, still reckless  and don't know any better.

It’s all in the mind. I’m 73 and have just bought a 3.5is. Mind you that could be because I’m well into second childhood. I know folk who were old at 21!

I went down that self same path just prior to 70 - but often remark about the old grey haired / bald fellas in sports cars !
Mirrors In my house are covered.

I agree with you, there are shed loads of ‘old’ young fellas.

Couldn’t agree more!
I recently lost a pal who I’d known for 55 plus years - the fella was always saving for a rainy day and would never buy expensive cars - the grim reaper arrived before the rainy day!
I can say, it changed my outlook

Too true. I had a cardiac arrest 18 months ago. Heart stopped eight times in all. I look at things very differently now. I am just glad to be here and appreciate every new day.

Age is just a number, feeling old is a state of mind.

I turned 50 last year, but really don’t feel that old. About 3 months after that birthday I had a bit of a health scare. Turned out to be nothing major, but made me realise that getting “old” isn’t guaranteed. Shortly after that I bought my Z! :D

With all this in mind, what age would you choose to be?
Obviously nobody at 30 is going to say 60 so I aim the question at us older felkas.

From my approaching 71 status I would say I would like to go back to my early 50’s

Feel Old Well Lets See, I am 59, :x Retired ill Health, so yes sometime I feel OLD, But being at home most of the time I found a love for PC's building them and Gaming, Over the 22 Years I have been at home, I grew to Love Pc games, and still Play them with my sons that makes me feel younger, :D :D

Turn up for our group walk on Dartmoor today. Spotted a older looking tall lady, ready for the off in her shorts. Turns out she is 80 fecking 7. Yes I said 87. :o had no trouble keeping up with us younguns  Then after about 6 miles, said her good buys and headed off, completely alone, back across the moor to the cars. Amazing woman. Now I just feel young and out of shape.

I'm bi-polar old. Sometimes I feel young and invincible, other times I feel over the hill. This will only get worse at 31

Yup - That is the moment I entered old age.
I was 54.
At 5:44 PM I was riding my Harley Davidson to a weekly gathering at a BBQ Chicken joint and reflecting upon how busy the traffic was.
Distracted driver in a van, on her cell phone didn't see me when she cut across traffic from a side street.
Wrote the bike off and spent almost 3 weeks in hospital.
And here I was expecting to be complaining about football injuries.
I have lots more now.

Treat yourself every day.

25 May 2006 at the Royal Albert Hall - I went to the gent's before we went to our seats.

But I had a TIA on the way, so never got there - just to A & E.

We all only get one go at this, so just make the most of it!
