Did those wheels with those offsets just go straight on? Standard suspension? No spacers, mods, no rubbing etc?

I'm still trying to plug my way through what will and what won't fit - and come to some understanding regarding what degree of offset I can safely play with. Nice looking car by the way.......

Yeah..wheels were taken from my old E85 Z4. Standard sdrive35is with M-Sport suspension, no spacers, no mods and no rubbing what so ever. Thinking about lowering it 20mm next summer.

Thanks, that's very helpful. Were there any issues with Tyre Pressure Monitoring that you had to overcome to get it to work as fitted?

No problems. Haven't done anything to tyre pressure monitoring

It's still summer in Finland so here's a photo with my winter wheels

Wheels are M3 CSL replica 8,5x18" ET37 rims with 235/40R18 rubber.

15mm spacers in the back.

We have the 19" 326 wheels I think they look superb :happyclap: :happyclap: :happyclap: ,I would stick with the run flats,as BMW must know what they are doing , also I like the idea my wife won't be stuck on some roadside in the rain phoning me up to sort the problem out :poke: ,one problem though with v low profile tyres are the rims are v prone to scuffing , I will be sending ours to the man in Lichfield to get them refurbished , 8)

I don't think it's the rims :poke:

Here's picture of my old E85, with H&R -35mm springs.... there was some rubbing ;)

Got new 18" CSL style winter wheels few days ago.. have to add picture with those too.[/quote]

That looks soooooo nice on those wheels. How do you feel about your new car compared to your old one.??

I would avoid the MV3 wheels. I had them on my 3 series and had to replace 3 of them due to cracks.
The cracking stopped when I switched to non-runflat tyres but they are very fragile for a 18" wheel. There's a good number of forum threads about those wheels over at e90post.

Also be aware that not all wheels can accommodate runflat tyres. BMW OEM wheels will but aftermarket wheels may not.

Some people will tell you runflat tyres are just as comfortable as normal tyres and others will tell you they are horrid. Everyone has different circumstances (different brands, roads, wheel sizes and tyre pressure) but the one factor most people neglect is that the best performing tyres are all non-runflat.
If you want the best street tyre money can buy then go for some Michelin Pilot Super Sports. There's a reason BMW slap them on their M models.

Thanks..lower springs with 19" wheels makes a difference. I have pictures with original springs and 17" wheels also. Have to see where to find those.

E85 feels much smaller and nimbler. E89 feels more like GT-car with better interior and equipment. E89 (mine is sdrive35is, 250 kW / DCT) doesn't feel as fast as it is due the DCT. E85 (mine was 2.2, 125 kW / manual trans.) feels much faster then it is :D

E89 sounds waaay louder and better.

Roof is bonus in Finland

Bit like old Mini vs. New Mini.

Thanks!

True...when you pay taxes from taxes...

sDrive35is with standard equipment is $63k
Then comes VAT 24% which is about $16k
Then there is car tax which is about $40k.

Total $119k

Car tax is the temporary tax for one year ...in 1958. Still going strong

So half of the price is some sort of tax

Hi folks Does any one know if these are BMW OEM wheels if yes what size/ref etc ,they are the best I've seen so far :winner:

BMW M343 Wheels (M6). you can get OEM or non OEM (OEM is 20" and I wouldn't recommend 20" on the e89, ride and rubbing dependent on tyre size). Just eBay ''M343 Wheels'

Finally found out more info re these wheels, used the Avant Garde name to do some digging .They are made by Riva Wheels in Holland according to a chap at Anamotors who advertise on Ebay they are called BMW style 5 series F10 M5 Syder alloy wheels ,he said they were £560 ,I thought he ment each , then he said no that's for a staggered 19" set , :scratchhead: :scratchhead: now should I question the quality of these wheels at that price , I do believe they are awesome looking wheels see pic above the best looking I've seen  but not sure about the quality ,bit disappointed ,what do you think troops.
