Wheels Square Set Up

My 19 year old son has just purchased an E89 20I M sport, similar insurance to a Focus 1.6 petrol.

One if the rear wheels 326's has a welded repair so am on the hunt for a replacement

I say on a thread the suggestion to run fronts all round.

Couple of questions:-

What does it look like?

What does it do to handling etc.

Any thoughts and comments great full received

Many thanks

Yes you can run 326 m fronts all 4 corners with 225/35 19 tyres..

On a 20i MSport it’s not going to make a world of difference

Can confirm. I've been running 326 19" 8J on front and back for over a year on my 20i. I have standard 225/35 on the front and 235/35 on the back, just to have a teeny bit more rubber on the ground at the rear. Took the opportunity when changing to go with non-run flats too, which most people do at some point.

From what I have read a square set of wheels reduces the tendency towards understeer, and some E89s came with a square set-up as standard.

I bought a set of 8J all round 17" Style 290 wheels from a 20i owner as summer wheels for my E90.
