Wheels from old Z4 on the new model

There was some discussion about this before. Seems there is a possible problem with fitting 17" wheels on some or even all models. Tirerack has stopped selling 17 inch rims for the E89.

I would say you'd be fine with a 23i for certain, and for a 30i the brakes are slightly larger than yours currently, so again wouldn't think you'd have a problem.

But the 35i has larger brakes and I would agree with WLH that you might have to be careful about your existing wheels.

But IIRC you are looking at 23i/30i anyway so you should be OK.

If your just using them to get home, I would not expect much of and issue, but they my look a bit daft having a different offset. Make sure they will clear the front and rear suspension, before you hit the road. Just install one side and let the car off the jack and turn the steering full lock to lock just to make sure. Pay particular attention in case the front caliper contacts the wheel weights, but would expect you should be O.K.
