Wheels are in for blinging!

i was going to get my ellipsoids in that flash chrome, but was a bit too pricey for me at the moment, but now seeing the finish on a z4 i think its back on my to do list!

i assume as the light bounces off thats where you see the chrome effect?

I think the idea is that the silver paint over-runs onto the rim to enhance the flash effect . Will be interesting to see how they look in the sun.

I know it's only an effect of the paint, but it looks like they painted the area where the spokes join the rim in a different colour
You're right it is a different colour, the rims are powder coated black and then sprayed after, to get that effect.

The Wheel Specialist had a Z4 'Sport' wheel (can never remember the numbers!) with the multi spoke design done in flash chrome and it looked stunning.
Style 135 they have one in Leeds as well in the showroom.

Glad they're OK, I have had two sets done there now and the second set is better than the first, not that there was much wrong with them apart from a couple of dust specks on the powder coating.

I think the OEM finish on the Ellipsoids is too bright on Sterling Grey, and deliberately leave them dirty most of the time. Maybe that finish would be a better alternative.

i like them more up close than from far ... from far makes tires look really thick ... but i wonder what they look like when they are in motion?

neat use of colors, looks good, but not for me. :|
