Just had an update on my FB page, Mike Brewer has opened for business !

Wonder if he's like the programme:

"This car is worth every penny of five grand"

then

"Billy here has travelled a long way to see the car, I think he's interested. Lets see if he wants to make an offer"

then

....crap haggling.....

then

"Four Grand, hold out your hand. You've got yourself a motor"

then

"I know I wanted five grand for that car, but Billy's a real enthusiast and I know its gone to a good home"

Havent you seen "Wheeler Dealers" on TV, where he takes a car, gets his mechanic "Edd" to do it up, then sells it on?

I quite like it, but never am impressed with the money he gets, considering he is a real dealer.

Spot on but i still watch the repeats on disco turbo :lol:
 
Yeah,as mentioned,for a prof dealer,he never seems to get as much as u would expect,and his haggling skills arent always great...but him and Ed have turned quite a few pretty rundown cars into very decent ones.

Like this program alot :D :driving:
(just a pity there hasnt been a new series for a wee while)

New series of Wheeler Dealers starts on Discovery on the 19th Feb at 9pm Craig,set the sky plus :) :thumbsup:
 
I love Wheeler Dealers as well. Used to watch it before he went solo with Ed. Used to be another guy also selling the cars.

I like all that sort of thing, even chop shop etc, for the entertainment value...regardless of the methods used.

Wish him well.

Cheers,Graeme...just saw a post elsewhere for this as well as the Jmaes bond-esque ad for it on tv,saying coming soon. Should be good,db7,tvr ceberea(i car i once wanted to buy) :D :thumbsup:
