Ask him whether the wheels come off easily. If so, good chance it will, but will take up most of the s boot pace. I din't think a standard NHS chair will but if that's what he's got, let me know and I'll check.
its an invacare one I think- the wheels come off and it used to fit in the boot of my Mk4 golf easily enough just wondered if anyone had ever had a chair in their z!
It probably depends on how much of it comes apart easily, like foot rests etc. Should all come to bits. I'd say it'd probably fit but maybe get him to take it apart and give you the dimensions of it stacked into a boot sized heap?
How about a folding bike rack that fit's to the outside of the car? - no doubt it could be bungied to that - but with -'ve style points.
I've got one that's been unused in the garage for a while you can try if you like. Can bring it to Kendal if you're going to be there too.
Paddy I have had a manual wheelchair in the boot of my roadster with an inch to spare, but only with the wheels removed which was a spanner job. They are all slightly different sizes though so there is no guarantee. If it was me I would make sure I had some way of tying down the boot securely without stripping the paint as if it doesn't fit it wont be by much.
Whilst I appreciate they are very different things but the frame of my wee one's pram fits very easily in the Z4. The boot is deceptively deep but has not obviously got a lot of height.
Bugger I have the coupe and it is probably completely different!!!
