Wheel woolies or other options

I've been using wheel woolies for about 5yrs now, by far the best wheel cleaning tool(s) I've used.

beanie have you made a decision?

Excellent, many thanks Paul, no rush or need to post if you don't get around to it tomorrow.

John - tried it, did NOT work dry. I had to make them wet to get the dust off.

I bought wheel woolies to replace my large ez brush that lost its rubber stopper from the end. To be honest iam a bit disappointed with them. Yes not as much splatter but that didn't bother me. Will persevere with the WW & see if I get used to them.

I just soak my wheels and wipe them with a cloth. I did have an EZ brush but it splattered a lot then broke.

Thanks very much for that Paul, I'll find something else, saved me buying something I don't need.

Much appreciated.

I use the speedmaster (red ez detail brush ) it has softer bristles so less chances of scratching along with its junior brother the mini verison
I tend to get 1.5years out of mine as its used on a day to day basis, never had to move away from it. I have wheel woolies too but the handles aren't ergonomically fitting so that's why they sit in the cabinets

If you find the handles on the wheel woolies too thin - a fairly common comment from people with larger hands - you can get 'comfort' grips for them

e.g. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/182013666358

For anyone who has lost the rubber tip for their ez brush, pop 'rubber push on cap' into ebay and you'll find a few replacement options.

Mine was out of action for a while until I was speaking to the dent removal guy about the rubber caps he had on his tools. Bingo!

Personally i find wheel woolies the easiest way to clean the wheels, but it does depend on your wheel pattern. If you have lots of spokes with narrow gaps you need more of a flexible brush, but if you're running say 326M or 313M 5 spoke type with big gaps they are great.
