Wheel weight glue removal ?

Any tips for removal of that black glue left behind by the wheel balancing weights :?

I use wd40 works well. Used it tonight on my sons number plate to remove trim tape.

Or autoglym tar remover.

Just be careful as it will most likely remove the laquer as well when the glue goes.

Another vote for WD40. Spray on and then use an old credit card to remove the old glue.
