Wheel/tyre combos?

Nice ride CJ, I love the Jeep!!

I thought you'd appreciate it (in your thread too) even though off topic

BTW - they are both on 15" rims with 35" tyres, so don't go the small rim big tyre route on your Zed

Ed - Any day - swap a plane ride for a Jeep day off road

Done the Seven Sisters/Walters on a motorbike...BMW Offroad courses........ great place!

Go for 18's and non run flats lacroup.............. I went that route a couple of months ago and the ride is so much better. Put 224s on my 2.0 and not sure about the back wheels..... brings the tyre right out to the very edge of the wheel arch.

Thats whats getting them in trouble; not only do they keep illegally blocking off sarn helen for these events (and its a BOAT) but they have change of use issues....56 motorsport events in seven months when the law only allows a max of 28 days change of use.....and thats not to mention the fact they forgot to get a licence for the WRC stuff they're hosting.... :headbang: Needless to say theres a big local undercurrent of objection all round....big hearing early October about use of ROWs etc...

Thanks for the tyre feedback tho, I've got a set of wheels in my sights so we'll see what happens next!

hey guys,

do u reckon these will suite the zed?

just saw them on the net so iv asked what tyres they come with and cost for falkens

I'm very curious as to why the Falkens come so highly recommended on this forum, you even have a whole seperate thread for price comparison, Do you all have shares in the company? :D

They're quite a budget tyre, I've always heard Michelins were the way to go on most Bimmers? :?

Are the Falkens considered the happy mediums between price and performance?

You hit the nail on the head.

Hi guys,

I’m looking at this set of wheels. I need a set to run while I do a DIY refurb on my 108’s that will probably take a while and might never get done, anyway I need new tyres soon and I’m dying to ditch the runflats.

I can get this set of wheels with these tyres for £499 (reps obviously)

Anyone ever heard of them or had them on their car?
I priced them on camskill and they are obviously budget tyres (but then falkens are to an extent) and they come out at £198 for the set.

The falkens come out at £334 a set, so quite a difference in price.

The price I was quoted for the wheels with falkens was £679 – a £180 difference.
My only concern is that winter is coming up and I wonder what the best tyre to have on would be.

If you were in my shoes now what would you do??

Cheers!

I wouldnt put ditch finders (re cheap tyres) on my car - you only live once... just my opinion...

wheels look good though :D

There's a massive difference between Falkens and no name tyres.
Fullrun seems to be a Chinese company that exports tyres for 50+ different Chinese manufacturers. I can imagine some of them ...mmmmm.
Of course they are the cheapest tyre they can find to reduce the package price

Frankly I'd pick up another set of OEM rims with tyres on and run them for a few weeks. You'll sell them on for almost the same later.
Careful of source as I don't advocate tyres of unknown origin or potential ex crash.

Try these for £250

How about a set of Z4M wheels?

I've just bought DavidCH's wheels & tyres off him to fit to mine, instead of paying out lots for just new tyres. I was planning on using my tyres until they're shot and then just selling the wheels, but if you only need them temporarily I'm sure I could lend (for a small fee) or sell (for a larger fee) you my current ones (with 3mm or so on the Continentals).

Hi guys im looking to move off run flats as they are terrible. Any suggestions for agood 18" tyre ?
