Wheel Storage

I decided to improve the look of my patio at the weekend - I had 2 sets of wheels stored under a tarpaulin which did look a bit council!

So I bought one of these:- https://www.homebase.co.uk/keter-store-it-out-max-garden-storage-beige-green-1200l_p261326

Homebase had an extra 15% off over the Bank Holiday, and I didn't need to pay for delivery - I knew having an E91 would come in useful! :)

Put it together earlier today and had no problem getting 8 wheels inside - much better!

You could have turned them into a fancy patio seat

I never thought of that, but I think they'd be a bit uncomfortable as the tyres are all on rims! :(

I was going to buy one of those keter storage units, but moved instead to somewhere that had storage.

Much more expensive solution

Just bought a 5x4 shed to put 2 sets of wheels in along with some other garden stuff.
The wheels take up 3/4 of the shed.
Just dont put anything too valuable in the Keter, you could break into it with a hot spoon.
Had one similar years ago and a bit of tile came off the roof and smashed a hole in the lid.

True, but a timber one is no better - you can put your foot through the sides!

And at least a Keter doesn't need treating every couple of years or having warped panels replaced. :)

I like maintenance free!

I've got some taking up space as well. Did you stack them? 4wheels on the right, and the other 4 on the left?
TBH my wheels are covered in empty ton bags... not too worried about security as they're not worth anything. Well they are, but they're not exactly a set of Vorsteiner Forged alloys.

Oh No!

I hope you've got extra garage or shed space once you've moved!

I wouldn’t have considered moving unless an upgrade to the bear cave was on the cards :P
When the deed is done I’ll post a pic of my new car/bike dwelling place

That's how it should be!

I hope it all goes smoothly.

The comment above has a link that doesn't look legitimate, nor is it written in correct English. Is Oscarhellen a bot?

My Dad has two of them full of his wheels, my wheels and even Mikes wheels and still some in the hut and the garage

Have either of you got pictures of the wheels inside? I wasn't sure whether two wheels would sit next to eachother side by side in the space? May have to get one just for our wheels! Ton bags are maybe just as much council as tarpaulin?

proceed with caution - bought a big Ketter shed which houses two industrial racks - brilliant thing.

No matter how much storage you have, you still somehow manage to fill it & need more

I don’t but if I’m there in the next week I can get a picture but you can usually stack up to 4 on top of each other and then the same on the other side and actually you could get another wheel or two I between standing up, if you’ve an odd number in your set(s)

I didn't think there was enough space for 4 and 4 (left and right) so would be good to see! Don't mind the wait :D

Another fan here, although I have one of the “outdoor wardrobe” style ones. They look pretty smart and when they get grubby you can just pressure wash them back to new.

They do more than one size. I made a point of getting the largest one so it would take 2 sets of 4 - you can just about make it out in the photo even if I can't get it the right way up!
