Wheel speed sensors??? Wet weather??

Hi All,

My other half has had the dash warning lights come on again, last time it was the nearside rear wheel speed sensor.

It tends to throw the lights on during heavy rain/wet motorway driving. Is there a link between them getting wet and it throwing the light on?

I removed my wheel speed sensors to check them and eliminate them from the equation when I was having issues with the ABS pump a couple of years back. They were absolutely filthy with mud and grit and the orifice where they are located was also. Cleaned things up with hot soapy water and a small brush and refitted them. You'll have to jack the car up and remove a wheel at a time to get to them but definitely worth it. Hopefully they are not corroded or damaged
