Wheel Spacers

Yeah welcome aboard mate ,
Newbie question,s are better received upon picture proof of vehicle to which you want information for 8)

Having thought of a witty response to the youth of today I then realised that I do actually want others opinions of the size of spacers being used.

Research says anything less than 12 mm cannot be centric as the spigot is longer than the spacer, but many people are using 10mm spacers that surely must be centric located ?

I am running 103 (I think that's the style) and 17" rims but they look too far into the arches and I would like to look into spacers as the bearing and wheel hubs have ratings that would easily support larger offsets so wear rates should still be well within the limits of the axle.

So what size would people suggest and what manufacturers are people using ?
