Hi Guys,

Im thinking of changing my wheels to 18's

my choice is the Volk Racing Progressive ME

However, im not sure what offsets i could use

For the front i plan to put 18x8.5 offset 42 (the only offset available..)

For the rear however, I plan to go wider at 18x9.5
the available offsets are: +20, +30, and +42

I need help choosing the right offset for the rear since i dont want the wheels to stick out or rub against the fenders when i lower the car.. however, i dont want them to be too inside the wheel well tho

I hope you can help me choose the right one

thanks in advance!!

I am guessing that you do not have the //M version, so an offset of +40 is recommended, but you have an available offset of +42 which should be fine. A helpful resource for recommendations like this is

A quick and easy research tool for determining what may or may not work for you.

Cheers!

Yup i just got the regular 2.5i :)

wow so the offsets on the ///M and the regular Zed are way different? They seem to look the same outside tho..

Thanks for the offset help :) you saved my butt! hehehehe

rear axle on the ///M is wider.

I'm running 18x9.5 ET 35 at the rear and there is about 5mm space between the outside of the rim and fender with negative camber -2° if the suspension is fully compressed. If you are still running the "OEM camber" (depending on suspension), ET30 at the rear will fit.

What suspension are you planning?

Hi right now i just plan to keep the suspension stock. At most, lower it a little bit.

Everything is stock even my alignment settings. My car (2003 2.5i) already comes with 17's as standard, although i have seen some 2.5's around with 16's i think

anyhow, what should i get? 18x9.5 offset 42 or the offset 30 one?

confusing! hahahah :)
