Wheel sizes for an e61 525i MSport ?

Right - I know you lot like a challenge, so how about some help with getting some winter wheels for my other motor.

Currently running 18" 135 8j et20 on my :roundel: e61 2008 touring, and would like to find something smaller for winter tyres, but not sure about brake clearances etc.

I've been trawling other forums (and I allowed to admit that?) with little success :( , so thought I'd appeal to you chaps too :)
 
Realoem.com shows both 16" and 17" winter options. So it looks like both sizes will fit yours, with the recommended 225/55/16 or 225/50/17 tyres.
 
Cheers - I still wonder if the M-Sport has come with bigger brakes - the realOEM seems generic for both - can't seem to find a differential on that site - what do you think?
 
Realoem doesn't show a different size front disk, so I assume it's a 324mm one for all e61 LCI 525s.

Don't know if all 16" wheels would fit over those brakes or whether it's just the one listed, but that website doesn't list anything for the Z4M smaller than an 18" wheel.

It might be easiest to call your local dealer asking about winter wheel options.
 
Cheers again - I had phoned the dealer but they took 1 day to reply - now confirmed 16 or 17 with the option of non run flats (!) and an emergency wheel kit. Cost from £1095 btw.
