Wheel Size Help? Newbie

Hi all. I have just recently purchased a 2003 Z4 2.5i in black.
After been on this forum the last couple of weeks I have the bug for modifying my car slightly.

I just wanted to know. My wheels are 17 inch and I would like some 18's.
What are the standard 2006 version wheel sizes including offset and width etc?

I have found some wheels of another BMW and the sizes are:

Rear 245 40 18
Front 235 40 18

5 X 120 ET 20
8.5J FRONT 9.5J REAR

Will these fit???

Thanks

Yes but will stick out more than the wheels you have now , possibly by 15/20mm so depending on ride height may catch the arch ?
compare offsets here http://www.carlsalter.com/BMW-wheel-fitments.html

To say they will fit is a little misleading.
The original 18'' wheels on your car are 8 inch wide fronts offset 47 and 8.5 inch rears offset 50
An offset of 20 on the front wheels you are looking at will extend the wheels 33mm towards the outside edge compared with the originals.
Use this OFFSET CALCULATOR to work out the differences.

Cheers for those links guys.

Yeah looking at it, it will mean my wheels will almost be outside of the arch. My cars not lowered howver I suspect going over a huge bump or some unsuspecting pot hole will cause me arch damage.

Thanks, I nearly purchased the wrong wheels :-/

...usual good advice and help. Top Man
