Wheel rubbing?

So I've just ordered a set of eibachs, (thank you forum, costing me more money! Haha!) my question is, with 108s will I be expecting rubbing? Or should I get some spacers to prevent this? Spacer wise, I'm thinking 10/12mm front and 15mm rear. What's other people's experiences of it? :)

might get alit bit on the front depending on how hard you drive, add spacers will increase this. You'll just end up with small hole in the arch liners but nothing major :)

Any rubbing you get will be in different places. I fitted 15mm front and 20mm rear to my last Z with 108s. When I had Eibachs fitted the garage tried the fronts without spacers and they rubbed on the engine side of the arch liner on full lock ; with spacers they rubbed on the corner of the liner behind where the bumper meets the wing, which is how we left it. I rubbed through on the drivers side, only really when pushing on, less on the passenger side. Black gaffer tape covered the hole nicely :D

With smaller spacers you will get less rubbing, minimal if you don't ever really push it. Jonny is right that it looks much better, but he's not really qualified to talk about rubbing as he never drives his car :P

You could always drop the front tyre size slightly to 215 40 if you find rubbing after the drop & spacers ?

This was something I considered briefly. My issue was that my wheels had been refurbed to OEM so I was precious about the diamond cut rim... And I am not keen on the stretched look. Personal choice though.

Don't think 215 would look stretched on a 8j rim but its sometimes a small decrease here & there that cures the issue of arch rubbing

I had 20mm on the rear of mine (also with Eibachs and 108s) and although it was fine around town, I experienced rubbing when pressing on. Replaced them with 15mm which are perfect and don't look much different.

I tried the 15mm on the front at first and again there was rubbing, I'd be tempted to go for 10/12mm.
