Wheel Refurbishment Options

Hi

I've just booked my beloved E85/2004 in for a full respray in mid-April and will get the wheels done at Lepsons at the same time.....but what finish?

I have the 18" star-spoke split rim wheels - they need to go with Merlot Red bodywork (my taste, if not everyone else's!). My current shortlist is: Flat Silver (again), Nickel Chrome or light Anthracite.

Has anyone got any photos of these in anything apart from flat silver? Are thee better options?

All advice appreciated, thanks all!

Make sure you swing by KDS Keltec right next door to Lepsons too - tempt yourself with their bodywork refresh menu!

They are doing the respray, followed by full detailing. They detailed it in 2008 when Lepsons also did the wheels and it was awesome. Now the stone-chips are beyond even Kelly's skills!

may i ask how much a full respray is costing?

I had two quotes £3,100 and £3,900, the latter inspired more confidence of a good job and included c £600 detailing package for the rest of the car. Wheels will be £500 on top for flat silver.

Before everyone says they it could be cheaper, I know, but it couldn't be better.......either way the car will still only be worth slightly more than this at the end!

It's a heart over head thing!

PS When I popped in last week the cheapest car they had in there was an M5. they also had Ferrari, Aston Martin and a Bugatti Veyron.....

Very nearly but I ended up selling the car. Got a quote for mid level paint correction package linked to a selected area respray that came in around £1200 IIRC. They really know their stuff and have a great reputation. Same as you, when I turned up they had a Lambo, 911 and GTR all in the queue! Would definitely use them in the future if I need to get anything done.
