Wheel refurb

They would fit E85 E86 & look better in the arches than the 108s or similar fitment wheels do

Am I correct in that the offsets on the 293 wheels (ET29 front and ET40 rear) will bring the wheels out further than my existing 108s (ET47 front and ET50 rear)? As they are the same offets as your 296s I assume you had no problem with fouling on the body?

Any opinions on whether it would be better to get OEM wheels (possibly needing a refurb) or wheels that have VIA, JWL and/or TuV certification rather than replica wheels made in Taiwan. The warning on Ebay advising not to get replica wheels has worried me!

Thanks for all comments

andmas, sorry to hear of your problems.

I can't speak from experience but I wouldn't even contemplate putting Chinese copy rims on my Z4, especially given the warnings posted on the selling site!

Makes me glad my Z4 has 135Ms - when I was looking last year every car with 108s (which I don't particularly like) had bubbling lacquer around the boltheads due to corrosion from the reaction of the steel bolts with the alloy rims.

I hope you get things sorted OK - FWIW 19 inch CSLs look great on a Z4 but real ones are eye-wateringly expensive!
