Wheel Refurb and Other Mods

Just wondering if anyone can recommend a decent alloy wheel refurb company based near London? Other stuff I was looking to get done was to get some Day Time Running Lights fitted and maybe getting the front and rear lights smoked slightly. If anyone can recommend places that does the above individually or the whole lot through one place would be much appreciated :-)

These guys get great reviews online:

Not sure if Gillingham is too far out of London though?

If it's split rims, then Lepsons are a no brainer...

Second time I've said that today, I'm going to ask for some commission!

Ah ok just had a look and that's about 82 miles from my postcode so could be difficult arranging it through them as I'm near NW London

They are 440 miles away from me and I use them...

Theres a place near west hampstead. Cant remember the name (Google probably does) but they will give you donor wheels while yours are in the shop which is handy. My mate had his M5 wheels done there a few weeks back and they're flawless. :) About 350 a set i think. *That included the donor wheels for a few days and removing a buckle they found in one of his wheels.

How close to Hemel are you? BJV engineering (I think I have the name right) are pretty good, they have done several wheels for me.

I can recommend EXEL wheels, the guy who owns the company uses Lepsons for his refurbs but has loan wheel for the cars while the wheels are being refurbed.I got my MR wheels refurbed but living in Scotland meant i couldnt use his loan service, but the quality of the refurb was 1st class, glass smooth no orange peel.

You want to speak to Dips at Custom Cars.

Based in Heston.

In my experience, Lepsons are massively over-rated. I had my wheels refurbished there last year and had to send one back (at my own cost  ) because of a major fault in the finish. The rears have since chipped to hell in less than 5k miles of driving. The OEM finish was miles tougher than what they've produced. Just saying...

I can recommend Autowerks in Slough , these guys are Pro's !

they've made my mates alloys look absolutely perfect.

Is this the place? May well use them one day as they are quite close to me and look very well set up.

Would imagine they get a lot of business due to the "Hampstead Wives Club". :D

Thats them i think MrPT. Just rang them and they said 260+vat for four wheels in standard finish whilst they they lend you donor wheels for a few days.
Thats a full strip down and repaint. Not bad.

Going to have mine done shortly at my local Wheelspecialist, they offer a good variety of top quality finishes then its a detail polish then sports tailpipes and summer here we bloody well come!!!!!!!
