Wheel Pin

I bought one from the dealer and it cost $6. Works very well and really makes mounting wheels so much less hassle.

I felt that two are better than one. Made getting the holes for the lug bolts lined up just that much easier.

Just was at the dealer - does anyone have the part number? He could not find it

$5!! Bargain!

Re: the leatherz product: Sorry, but $23 for a piece of metal... c'mon guys!

Indeed. I was going to get the leatherz one but just couldn't get myself to pay almost $30 USD (with shipping) for it when BMW sells one for $6. I swap my wheels at least once every month and I play with my coilovers dampening settings quite often. The OEM one works extremely well and I have no problem recommending it. I do agree that if anyone is going to get a wheel-pin, get two of them and life will be easier :D .

The LeatherZ pin actually screws in making it much more secure. The BMW item slips in. Either works I guess. I have not seen the BMW one. $5 vs. $23 is something to consider certainly. Zink

ah, never thought of checking that! Will have a look in the X5 and see if I already have it

I know I've seen them in E39s before, I could never work out what it was for.
