Hi all... was thinking of refurbing my 108's but after seeing a couple of Z's with aftermarket wheels at the new forest meet i'm now drifting towards CSL reps. ? Ideally i wanted to keep orginal but i cannot get away from how good the csl's suit the car.

Has anyone had any experiance with these, 18" ZITO 935 CSL GTS

https://www.bmautosport.co.uk/showroom/product_info.php/new-zito-935-csl-gts-alloys-hyper-silver-with-deeper-concave-rears-various-offsets-p-3985?cPath=437_51_27_134_46_297

or can anyone recommend another make with a sensible price tag. Also want to keep to 18s, as the 19's with skinny tyres ride to hard for my liking.

cheers

Have a look at CM wheels, they seem like the go too ones for the forum and I believe there's a forum discount code knocking about somewhere. I had them on mine until I swapped them for some different ones.

I can't add much to that - I sold my 108s while they were still in pretty good condition after reading about how difficult (read expensive) they were to refurb.

CSL reps do look great on a Z4, and it just so happens I've got a used square set of 8J x 18s (ET35) that I'm not going to use. OK they aren't great, but they aren't scabby either. If of any interest PM me, but I realise you might want new ones and/or staggered.

I was planning to list them, but haven't got around to it.

Yes they do give a harsher ride - I noticed a fair bit more creaks from plastic trim when I had CSL reps on my old Z4 cabrio. However there is a huge difference in appearance between 18" and 19" - CSLs look so much better in 19". If you have to go with 18s for a better ride try to get a rear of 9.5 and front 8.5

Both are great options, but don’t be too negative about 19s

I went from 16” runflats to 19” BBS CH on Toyo non-runflats and I genuinely didn’t notice any downside

Admittedly my ride is a bit harder now since I’m now on coilovers, poly bushes, and both front and rear braces - but the wheel size made no real difference to ride comfort. Worth noting that I daily drive my car.

Pic for 19” perspective - and no, they’re not stretched tyres

Whatever you decide, enjoy and post pics :)

Very nice wheels indeed, really like them.
As others have said, 19 inch can be surprisingly comfortable, I just got my Z4 two weeks ago on 19 inch wheels and am not considering 'downsizing'. Before I only had 17 and 18 inch on Volvos.
