Wheel Offsets

Ok, this is a bit of a mine field to me and the friendly search option on here hasn't brought any conclusive answers either so here goes.

Im looking at a set of 19" alloys as link below:

http://www.bmautosport.co.uk/detail.php?siteid=1910

Question is will the offsets work on my Z4C.

8.5 ET40 front with 235x35x19 Falken 452 Tyre
9.5 ET40 rear with 265x30x19 Falken 452 Tyre

Mark at BM autosport says the only sticking point might be the rear as the offsets for the Z4 are normally ET45. On the E46 an offset of ET40 rubs on the outer arch lip but he says there is more room in the Z4 arch well so should be OK but he cant guarantee it.

Suspension is standard with M front bumper (dont think this will affect it though)

Any help / advice is much appreciated.

Thanks

John

on a 3.0 you can run 9.5 35 rear offset safely with no rubbing - I had the same questions and davthewheelnut knew all the answers. He runs 35 front and rear. Check this thread out http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=25702

Thanks Colin,

Picked that up as part of doofus' previous post.

Front ends up being 6mm less clearance against the suspension strut and 20mm further out
Rear ends up being 3mm less clearance against the suspension strut and 23mm further out

Hopefully this will be OK?

just as a FYI... on my VMR i have:

19x8.5inc et40 front and 19x9.5 et45 rear's.. it it lines up flush with the bodywork.

8,5x19 ET34 and 10x19 ET40. No rubbing in the rear. 235/35 and 265/30.
