Question: How far from the stock can I / safely go regarding offset? My understanding is that I have 46mm of offset all around. I want to possibly switch wheels to some 3 Series rims that have 34mm of offset. I will be running the stock tire setup -225/45/17. Is this an unsafe practice? It doesn't look as though anything would rub. Thanks for any thoughts.

I have front 19x8.5 et35 225/35 and back 19x9.5 et30 with tire 275/30. Rear fender are roll, before that tire touch a little bit at fender. And car is 2003
Lowered about 25-30mm

If it any help to you

Standard offset is 47mm for 7” (e.g.style 104) and 8” (103, 107/108 fronts) wheels, and 50mm for 8.5” (107/108 rears).

I successfully ran a set of 225/45/17 on et34 as winter wheels on my coupe with no problems. In fact et34 is quite a good offset aesthetically.
