Wheel Mounted Snow Plough Kit

Designed by that famous English inventor Mr Heath Robinson

:o Looks very dodgy to me - I think it will snag and you'll end up driving over the thing!
Go on someone in Scotland buy one and post some videos.

Me thinks this is a disaster waiting to happen

I love the Q&A here that implies the blade just snaps off, drive over it and no damage...lol

Q: what stops this from flpping under the car or snapping wheel bolts if you hit a pothole or suck like? 03-Dec-11

A: Hi The blade linkage is designed such that the blade self levels to the road surface, compensating for camber gradient, suspension movement etc. The blade has an angled leading guide that allows it to ride up over "normal sized" bumps and pot holes. Obviously though, there is a limit to the size of obstacle that can be accomodated, so to deal with this possibility the lower portion of the arm disconnects from the upper porsion when over loaded. The upper part of the arm remains securly attached to the hub. The lower part (includig the blade) remain on the ground and can safely be driven over without damage (to blade or vehicle) - this is roughly equivalent to driving up a low kerb. The load at which this occurs is over 100 times lower than the load at which any damage to wheel bolts could occur - specifically to ensure that there is no possibility of damage to them. Best regards Torquil

At the point where it is attached to the wheel it protrudes out in such a way that I cannot see how it can comply with construction and use regulations. It would be considered as dangerous parts and accessories similar to fitting some mascots to your bonnet which could cause injury to someone.

Looks more like a James Bond Q weapon of some sort....

Either that or it needs 'ACME' written on it. Looks like it'd have the same success rate as something Wily Coyote would employ.

The first speed bump you go over will take the bumper off, then shred the under-tray I reckon...

Ohh i like that......

If only i had a pheonix yellow Z, i could get that and call it a JCB

Inspired by that ebay contraption, I'm off to adapt this to fit onto the front tow eye :D
