Good evening all
Seems I'm experiencing a small imbalance problem on one of my wheel since last tire change:
I recently went to replace my 4 run-flats with Goodyear's F1 at an indy garage. When I came in the evening to pick up the car, I was informed by the reception that the technician reported the LH FWD wheel "very difficult to balance".
I could not get any additional details since the technician in question was already gone...
I came back home trying to pay attention to any wheel shaking when I was driving, however I could not exceed 30 mph on this trip. Also the comfort of the new set of tires was just too perfect now, and soon I forgot what could have me worried before
However, few days later when I got the opportunity to push a little bit more the gas, I could distinctly hear a "rolling" sound just when reaching 50-55 mph.
Above this speed or below, the sound's fading.
Now, I know that:
- the wheel hadn't suffered any shock since I own the car (1 year)
- I hadn't this problem with previous set of Bridegeston run-flats
- Rim has a lot of small weights that proves the tech tried hard to correct the imbalance
Could it be that the shop was not qualified to work on my alloys?
Do you think I should go back to them and ask for a rebalancing or go directly to BMW?
Thanks for advice!
