Wheel Controls - Refurb

The areas around the wheel controls in my Z are pretty scratched up and are really annoying me.

Has anyone re-painted these or sorted them in any other way?

I'm looking to do mine, although not anywhere near as bad as yours.

This is what I plan on using as I think I can get an OEM finish and feel with it.

How strange, i've just started another topic in "Wheeles & Tyres" on Plasti-Dip!!

Do you know if its possible to remove that section on its own? How are you planning on doing it?

also looking at fixing some scrapes on the wheel controls - think the previous owner wore a lot of wrist bling

Mine too, that plastic coating they put on is crap had my previous car (E90) steering wheel centre replaced because the previous owner had warn it away. The centre was like £89 from BMW rip off.

From looking at this page from the MF controls retrofit guide, it looks like the parts clip out which could make respraying them a piece of cake!

Maybe that is only on non-standard MF wheels?
