Wheel colour advice please

Happy New Year to you all!

I am selling my Maldives Blue E85 this year. Unfortunately i need something larger now. The wheels have quite bad kerbing so here's my question...

Do i refurbish them and if so, what colour? Im awaiting a price from the bodyshop i use for standard silver but wouldn't mind a new colour? I know maldives blue isn't that versatile in terms of wheel colour options.

Or does anyone have any for sale that might work out cheaper than a refurb? Current tyres are 225/40/18 all round so a set same size without tyres would be fine. I would prefer this, i like buying new things :evil:
 
Anthracite would look good if not go for standard BMW silver. Any more exotic colour combination may put off a potential purchaser.
 
What about Gun metal grey?

BTW I refurbished my M-rims lately with a piece of sanding paper and Wurth rim-silver paint, 6 euros a bottle :P
 
For selling the car I'd go standard silver, you dont know what the next buyer will/wont like, better to keep it original.
 
Hyper silver is the way forward with thoughts on selling , for a change i would say the anthracite or even 2 tone can work with the blue but it may alienate potential buyers :wink:

I reckon your all right...standard for selling. Changing for keeping. I was hoping a set might pop up soon worth buying.

I would bet the potential for hassle will be a no though.

Where are you based, must be local company with a good reputation near you.

I do have a set of X3 18s heading for refurb if you were fancying a change ?
Style 143 8j x 4 so your tyres would fit & the offset is 46 so no issues there

I got your PM Andy, I thought that would be the case but worth asking anyway! With regards to the x5 alloys listed above, they're not quite z4 enough for me :)
 
The only bad thing about colouring your wheels away from standard, if you kerb one, and want to get it redone, it's always hard to perfectly match again
 
100% keep them BMW silver! :lol:

Your wheel repairer will know the shade, they should have a colour chart and match what you have already! ;)
