Wheel centre caps

I just received these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItemVersion&item=170961213200&view=all&tid=957276073007 but they're way too loose and haven't left them on as I worry they'll fly out when driving along.

Can anyone recommend a decent set that fits the 224's?

Yeah was thinking silicone would be more durable and look a lot better. Looking at the OEM caps they have a more continuous ridge on the inside of the cap so will look for replacements with similar design.

I remember seeing an OEM version with chrome surround - anyone see these?

add abit of silicone

:withstupid:

I have to do this with mine. Dab of silicone adhesive on each lug, then a veeeeeeeeery fine bead round the back edge where it touches the wheel. Push straight in, wipe excess off immediately. Mine have lasted through a winter, then onto my summers, now back on my winters. Make sure you do it when it's dry, and give it a couple of hours to set prior to driving

Can't see the link, but if they are standard white / blue then best getting them from a dealer ? I think a set is about £30-40, get them from Sopers in Lincoln (Jamie in Parts) and you'll get a forum discount.

I think the issue is that the design of the OEM ones has changed, and the legs on the reps don't angle out enough to provide pressure. Another suggestion I saw on here was to heat the legs with a hair dryer and bend them outwards very gently. I am good at breaking things, so went the silicone route

Email Ian at [email protected] and ask him for a brochure and he will email you one.
He specialises in caps etc and they are quality and a good price.

I didn't get mine from him, only all my other badges - do his wheel caps fit like OEM Dav ? If so I will also enquire as mine will be too tatty soon, and I'd rather pay a bit more than the £20 off eBay I paid last time. Silicone works fine, but it is a bit of a faff.

Bing I only bought the self adhesive ones as I have odd sized centres but he does the complete caps for around £20.
I think the badges should be 68mm

Ah, ok. And yes, they are 68mm. I will get my next set from him as I have had great service from him in the past
