Wheel Centre Caps

Had my 108's refurbished in 2021...they went back to the alloy wheel company a few times as they weren't perfect. A bit of flaking around the centre cap was 1 fault.

They got the job done perfectly in the end and the wheels still look amazing and like brand new.

However the centre caps are looking a little tired as they were cheap chinese ones which I bought on ebay at the time.

Im on the hunt for some better quality ones but im cautious of removing the caps as I dont want to cause any paint damage to the wheels.

I have found this suction pad which could work or I take the wheels come off. Either option, they will pop out the same way.

Has anyone popped the caps out after a refurb with no damage?

If the wheels were refurbished properly and painted or powder coated etc then pulling the centre cap out shouldn't have any effect on the finish. I've never had any issues. As you're just going to throw the old ones away then the easiest way to remove them is to carefully drill a small hole in them dead centre, insert a small right-angle pick, bent coat hanger etc and pull them out
