just a quick note on how good the Auto Glym Hi-Tech wheel brush is!
all i can say, this is a great bit of kit made short work in cleaning my 108's
the only downer is it is a bit on the dear side @ 9.99 :o

bet its no good on my wheels, not sure what type of wheels mine are but the are buggers to clean, even tried a babies tooth brush

If you still got the ones in your sig pic they are MV2's nice wheels had them on my 320ci sport coupe and yes they are a bugger to clean.

yep still got same wheels as shown

never heard of MV2's before, i like them but they are just hard to clean

Yep, they are MV2'S. I just changed mine to mv3's. Much easier to clean and seems to update the car somehow. I used to use the long bristled brush attachment from the Karcher, worked a treat. Swear by wheel sealant which means you can usually use a spray to clean them rather than a brush and ally wheel cleaner

Taz, I have same/similar wheels - also have the autoglym wheel brush and does come in useful - but yes, they are difficult to clean!

Hi Taz,

I have the same wheels and they are a major PITA to clean.
I also use Meguiars wheel cleaner and brush with good results, with a second brush that fits in the narrow grooves..

Cheers,

Nelson.

Anyone know a good way of getting the wheel bolt bits clean?

Been using this since buying my Z4 Superb on cleaning around the allen bolts i use the softer brush in the attachment set.

These wheel brushes are the dogs nuts:

The seller always does me 2 of the largest (best) ones delivered for £5 - and they last for ages. They are also great for doing the badges, sills and door shuts etc.

I have the Autoglym one but find it a bit stiff so use it for tyres only.

Looks good

Sorry mate i was thinking allen bolts 108s not wheel bolts like you asked DOH

I use the wheel brush on this page http://www.swissvax.co.uk/products/wheel--tyre-products.asp its OK but need something a little more substantial there is something on the market has a blue plastic handle but i cannot find it again :x looked on all the trader sights.

Which one did you get Taz?

For getting in between big spokes and cleaning all the way to the back of the alloy the EZ detail brush is the daddy - but pricey at £18.95. However when used with some decent alloy wheel cleaner like Valet Pro Bilberry you can get the whole wheel spotless without taking it off.

It's massive though and might not get through the spokes on MV2s, you'll need the mini version for that:
