wheel bolt torque setting

Hello

Would any know the correct wheel bolt torque setting for a 35is ? 326 19inch alloys

does 88 ft lb sound right ?

If they're 12mm bolts on the E89, which I think they are, BMW spec 120nm +/- 10nm

If they're 14mm bolts it's 140nm +/- 10nm
 
It's fairly easy to remember as, for the common wheel bolt sizes, BMW now tend to spec (Bolt Diameter x 10)Nm +/- 10Nm

As BMW only seem to use 12mm & 14mm bolts, you should be able to use 130Nm for any modern BMW and still be within spec

Just thought you might know - I'll sort it. (How long has newtron metriquecal been used? Does it mean I need to get rid of my wooden foot rulers and my chain lengths. . . . . you'll be telling me that there are metriquecal shoe sizes next . . . . .there are, :o well I'll be :lol: )

You just need to update your speedo - not much use in having one calibrated in furlongs per fortnight any more.... :P

My speedo's calibrated to grains of sand and needs regular tuning . . . .sorry that's turning :D I up-dated when I couldn't rely on the sun hitting my dial when passing speed cameras. . . .
 
Using my Chinese abacus, mine and Steph's fingers and toes and a bit of guesstimation,

130nm = 95.88307940601 ft/lbs (roughly) so in my estimation, that'll be fairly tight as against the other f'in tight. . . . . :roll:
