Wheel arch liners

Evening folks.

Need to get myself a couple of front wheel arch liners and was wondering if anyone had used aftermarket ones before.

If so are they ok? Or am I best to go oem? I've seen a pair of new aftermarket ones for £65 but unsure whether to get them or not. The phrase, 'buy cheap buy twice' comes to mind.

Andy.

Apparently the aftermarket ones aren't as well moulded as the oem liners.

No proof of this, it's just what I've read when a member purchased aftermarket ones.

No experience with a Z4, but in 2016 a Kamikaze Pheasant on the m40 hit the bottom edge of the front section of the O/S/F arch liner on my E46 which meant it ended rubbing on the tyre.

I was quoted £33 + VAT from BMW so didn't bother looking at other options, and it arrived in a couple of days.

But if you need the front and rear sections for both sides I can see OEM starting to look expensive!

Given they aren't really subject to wear might a breaker be an option? They'll probably be OEM parts that way.

I fitted an aftermarket to my front right. It went on and looks fine but was a total bugger to fit. A few of the holes didn’t line up and I ended up drilling news ones.

This is what I thought would be the case. I'll probably just go oem then.
