Wheel and Tyre Change

Hi all, I'm a Newbie to the Z4 and this Forum and loving both already. Will submit some piccies as soon as the weather clears. My 2.5 currently has a lovely set of 107s shod with Bridgestone Potenza 225/40R 18 (F) and 255/35R 18 (R). Very good on the rears and part worn on the fronts. These are the RFTs and are giving the car quite a firm ride with a degree of tramlining. I would like to fit a set of 106s or 133s with 225/45R 17 at both ends (not RFTs). Does anybody have a suitable set to sell or, better still, trade? Am I doing the right thing? Your advice is most welcomed. Pictures soon, I promise. :)

Nothing to sell but I'm not loving the runflats. Had them on my 330D a few years ago and these are no better. Suggestions for alternatives (wheels, tyres, spare???) welcome

Why don't you just change your existing tyres to non run flats OP and keep your wheels. They look loads better than 17 inch wheels :)

Welcome ZedM.

PM Andy (Mr Wilks) as he sells Zed wheels now and again.

Changing from Bridgestone to Pirelli RFT made a massive difference for me.

I've not tried running non RFT's.

That's a sound idea - thanks. Obviously, I'll need a tyre repair/inflate aerosol to go with the non RFTs. My fronts have the most wear, is there any reason why I shouldn't have non-RFTs on the front and RFTs on the back? As least that way I could spread the expenditure.

I just changed to Vredestine Potenza non run flat 18" tyres. Got a full set off tinterweb for less than £400
Have a look at Jungle Tyres online
Very impressed and they look cool as well :)

Hi Chris, I can't see these anywhere on the web. Even the Vredestein website doesn't list a "Potenza" variant. Can you please reconfirm which tyres you have a where you got them from? Thanks.

Thanks Andy - am I OK to fit these to my 107 rims?

Providing you have a standard set of 107,s ( 8j front 8.5j rear) then the above tyres are a perfect fit & doubt you will find them cheaper anywhere else .
Get them on then get some pics up
