Wheel/Alloy Bags/Covers

I've been looking at the below to cover my 296 19" alloys in the garage. I need to sort out the garage and I don't want to scrape up the wheels given their diamond cut finish. They're just the wheels though, no tyres on, so I'm wondering of these covers might be a bit too large just to wrap around the alloys without tyres on?

Does anyone have any experience of using wheel bags?

May not what you want... But i leave my winter wheels in my back garden, stacked (minimise flat spots) and wrapped in tarp.

Less likely to knock them in the yard, and leave space for more valuable less water proof things!

Have done this for years with my other cars with no harm to the rubber life.

I got a set of these and they fit both my 19" Alpina alloys and the 17" winter set that fits both the Alpina and the F20 - it says canvas in the description but they're more like rip-stop nylon (which is better because it doesn't hold the moisture).

To ensure the alloy faces don't get scuffed while in the wraps, I cut some discs of cardboard the same diameter as the wheels+tyres and then used double-sided tape to cover one side of the cardboard with bubblewrap - the cardboard discs are held in place by the straps and protect the fronts of the wheels
