Wheel alignment

I havent had my Z4 for that long and the previous owner has kerbed the wheels. There is visible wear on the outside of the tyres and the steering is very heavy and quite severly pulling to the left mainly. Ive phoned up a few tyre places now to get a wheel alignment check but there all saying they cant do a check on the Z4 due to its setup and that I have to take it to BMW. Is this correct?
 
Try and find an alignment specialist in your area, I went to one called wheels in motion that i had used before with a different car. Top equipment and service, but it was pricey £99 including adjustments. If you go to a good one that has modern 4 wheel alignment equipment you'll get the job done properly.
 
Ive now been recommended to a local specialist who has all the latest equipment. Car is booked in. They have quoted me £70 at worst price if all 4 need doing.
 
My local tyre shop in Northampton are excellent. They have proper 4 wheel alignment equipment, take care of your cars and are priced as competitively as blackcircles.com. I had mine done for just under £ 90 with vat, it made quite a difference too.
 
Try Micheldever Tyres, excellent reputation, good deals on quality tyres, also do wheel refurb's and have laser alignment equipment. You can just turn up but there are huge queues so best book ahead :wink:

I use them as well. I would recommend them.
