wheel advice needed - front width/offset which is better?

hello all,

2008 m coupe;

going to have some wheels made directly from bbs motorsports.... was wondering everyones thoughts on front wheel width and offset?

so initially told bbs what I drove, was replied with 8.5inch wide front and 10inch wide rear, I wrote back and asked if a 9inch front was possible, and was quoted yet it was....

so my question to all of you is...is there a better choice? I would think there is absolutely zero performance benefit of going wider.....is this correct?

i know our stock staggered fitment is 1inch different front and rear(18x8 front and 18x9 rear) am I weird to think the 1.5inch difference is odd? or is this quite common?

what does everyone then think....8.5inch front or 9inch front? the 8.5 would be et32 the 9 would be et35.

Made to measure bbs :thumbsup:

Are you running stock eom suspension?

If you are then I'd probably go with similar sizing as oem CSLs, check what these are but iirc 8.5 fr / 9.5 rr x 19s. Although I've seen guys run bbs ch with 10s at rear with only spring upgrades so is doable.

Dubsesd's coupe Did run morrs on I think 9/10 setup, so you might want to search the threads on his setup but he also has full aftermarket susp. Not sure if the other guys with aftermarket suss setup runs that wide setup...

Sorry can't ref the threads as I'm on mobile, but have a good search on the forum.

Ps, what style you going for?
