My other cars...
Prior to buying my Z4 last year, one of the pre-purchase stipulations that I had promised the wife was that I would buy her a BMW. So, I ended up getting her a 2004 CPO 2.5i Jet Black X3. 3 months later, I found my pride and joy 2004 Steel Metallic Grey Z4 . Then a month after that, I sold our 2000 Mercedes Benz C230 Kompressor. I also have a 1993 Hunter Green 4-Door Jeep Cherokee Sport, my everyday Battle Tank with over 230,000 miles and still running strong (crossing fingers) – I love this car, it has been reliable and dependable. I use this vehicle for my Home Depot and Walmart runs, or when I have to visit a engineering job site. I also own a 1969 Ford Mustang Coupe, that my father had given to prior to his passing away. Someday, my son and I plan to rebuild and restore this car. To save the best for last, my other BMW is my E36, a 1996 328is automatic.
And if you include my son’s cars in our household, he has a 2005 Lotus Elise, and a 2005 Honda S2000.

It's a 450 SLC, 4.5 litre V8 and the fuel consumption is horrendous. Around town approx 13mpg, on a 70mph run approx 26mpg and it needs 98 RON fuel!
On the upside though it's fully depreciated, the road tax is £180 p/a, insurance is £200 p/a and so far it has been utterly reliable. Servicing is expensive (as a ratio to the cars value) at £300 p/a with a Mercedes specialist, but anything less would be a false economy - these cars need to be driven regularly and serviced by people who know them.
