I'm thinking the 3er will suit you the best. The handling is a lot more responsive compared to the competitors. If you really hated the A4 because of it's "loose" feel, you'll probably want to steer clear of the Merc C-Class then. That car's very luxury>>>sport.GP20 said:Last week I test-drove the Audi A4 Quadttro and was very disappointed in that car. Steering felt very loose and disconnected. I would NOT buy that car because of the steering feel alone. The interior was okay, but nothing more spectacular than the BMW/Infiniti interios I've been used to. Gonna test-drive the 328xi, 335xi next.

That being said, though...
This suits me quite well as a 2nd vehicle. The ride's very luxurious and is quite practical (with a huge 60/40 split opening). The panoramic sunroof's to die for and the audio system puts even my M's to shame.
 But I know what is under the hood,,,not a complete "junker".fire-n-ice said:Guess I'm the only one with a true junker...
Haha. I went totally in reverse then. My 1st car was a huge family sedan. Then I decided that I should have a midlife crisis earlier in life, so in came the M.GP20 said:Dude that's a very awesome looking ride. Bring it to our next meet.![]()
Styling wise, the C-class definitely beats the A4 hands down. The A4 looks nice, just a little blend and boring. I haven't driven the C yet so I'll have to find out later. You might be right that I should go with the bimmer though. I never thought I'd grow old so fast, and want to get a 4-door family sedan so quickly, not to mention with the automatic transmission, until my Z4M was at the dealer and they gave me an E90 328i loaner. I thought that car was suprisingly nice and comfortable. The steering definitely didn't bother me one bit.
But then again, it could be that I've been spoiled by the Z4M and the G35 that my perspectives were biased right off the bat when I went to test-drive the A4. I'll definitely need to test-drive the Accord, Camry, TL, or maybe even a Caddy. :?![]()
I like both of these ones, 'specially the X5.rabman5 said:I drive my wife's 2007 X5 whenever I get the chance

I'm thinking maybe you should test drive the new G35 sedan instead.
And if you need a second opinion, I'd be more than happy to test drive the cars with you. Zoom zoom!![]()
