what's your hobby?

Mine is marshalling.

Usually helping out driver's who've forgotten which corner they're at, or have outbraked, outmanoeuvred themselves...

This year has been a bit light due to work commitments, but hopefully I'll get to do some more weekends next year.
 
I'm going to have to get myself some of this fabled "spare time"
Managed 1 round of golf this year.
If hobbies is "what do you do in your spare time?" then it would be house hunting. I've moved 20 times in my life as has the OH, so we are reeealllyy fussy about the next forever house.
We may not live in it forever, but it seems to be taking forever to find. [18 months and counting]

Most people on here know I don't get on well with the sun, so simply look for the one with the most protection on their head/neck/face :oops:

In that order with that intensity.

I also fly professionally, play the guitar and had a band with good exposure( charts, music industry).

My biggest joy is my family(2 kids - terrorists really ).

Biggest side hobby is eating out as in fine cuisine(Mediterranean living compels you to eat well every day).

And another side hobby is of course the internet like this forum.

Badminton, hockey (I'm club secretary too, wish I could just play and not have to do admin stuff as well!) and gym to keep myself fit and to offset the ever decreasing amounts of time I can spare for computer games! Internet is an occupational hazard for me :o.
 
Like quite a few on here a keen skier with at least a week away a year in the Alps and trips skiing in Scotland , a keen sailor and have sailed west coast scotland and throughout Europe on various holidays and courses- really enjoyed attending the Americas cup when it was in Valencia. This has taken over from the climbing and hillwalking I used to do in my twenties.

I enjoy golf but dont get enough time to take it up seriously but enjoy watching it live and I have been to at least seven opens as well as various other European tour events. My wife and I love watching live sport in general so have gone to the six nations, my beloved anfield when I can get down , Wimbledon and last year The Olympics. In the coming years I want to go to The Goodwood Revival and perhaps the Le Mans Historique.

Keen Gardner and am currently occupied getting the garden in our new home the way we want it - a clear sign you are getting close to 40 is you get invites to share your birthday at the local garden centre cafe rather than the local night spot!

As well as the Zed I have a slightly costly addiction to Land Rovers - its where the name Zermatt comes from as it is/was the name for silver on them.
 
Some great hobbies on here, like many Snowboarding is a favorite of mine.

My main (cuz it takes ALL my money) hobby is racing, maintaining, upgrading and fixing my 328, which i run in the BMWRDC Kumho Championship. Shamless plugs:

+1 cooked curries "the proper way" for years - none of that packet mix or in-a-jar crap - after being taught at Uni by a native of Bradford :). Now discovering the delights of veggie curries :thumbsup:
