what's your hobby?

Used to be hillclimbing, here's me on the cover of a 2002 programme
with the car I designed and built.

I still tinker with the lathe and welder but nothing major.
Main interest these days is taking pictures like these:

Where do you train? I'm not far from you and train at the Griphouse. Just do BJJ these days as too old, broken and busy to do it all now.

Other things I don't have time for these days are surfing, snowboarding and cycling.
I train at the D Unit in Dumbarton. Cracking gym great bunch of guys too :thumbsup

Thought you might. Part of the same Dinky family then  John Nic is a legend and an absolute beast.

DNFT
Was training with John last night good laugh.
Heard your Polish guys wiped the floor with everyone on Sunday at the Thai.
Also heard the judges were a bit dodgy on a few occasions :poke:

I really like taking a couple of items of clothing off my neighbour's washing line and replacing them with appropriate alternatives from a charity shop.

Running is my thing, alomsot love it as much as I love cars (that is saying something!). Anyone else race?

A bit of this a bit of that for me. I like having a go at things, but what I've stuck with:

Motorbikes - ZX6-R for the track and a Ducati Monster M600 for hacking about. Thinking of trading up to an 848 Evo Corse SE next year.

Fitness - Although this is taking a bit of a back burner what with a new business and all.

Martial Arts - Been dabbling a bit of about 25 years, as above, looking for a training partner these days.

I mess around with Guitar, bass and mandolin, a mate and I keep trying to get a bit together (she sings) but busy people and schedules.. I'd love to join a band.

When I get round to it fixing up my classic car.

I used to do a lot of amateur dramatics (directed The Odd Couple, just off the West End, done a fair bit of acting and dancing too) in Feb, but as above, new job/business/moving house has taken up a lot of my time.

Active hobbies
Biking (road and mountain), running, fell walking, squash, gyming, football, newest being surfing, fishing and yoga. Hopefully going skiing in January for the first time too.

Everything to do with tech especially computing (mac), Photography and a gamer! Just got to 85% on GTA5 :D

Obviously huge fan of automotive driving and detailing. Past few years getting to more car shows. TBF I spent a lot of time on the Z and this forum...

Massive music fan try to get to at least one festival a year, pretty much like everything but classic and cut throat stuff.

Love watching movies my favourite director being Tarantino and favourite film Pulp Fiction. But love pixar stuff for the graphics/animation, especially Toy Story.

Hanging with friends, mostly drinking and going clubbing.

Traveling, next year hoping to do a world photographic tour starting in August. Quit my job possibly sell the car depending on funds :( and start again, see where I end up.

Im a bit clothing mad too. My family business is clothing and own the oldest established family business in the UK 1742, so got my dad to thank for that.

Professional
Cant get away from photography and graphic design in my personal life as well as professional because I work freelance in my free time when I get chance.

Can't take credit for that - it was either a professional comedian on the TV or one of my mates. Love the idea though - definitely going to try it one day!

I don't really have anything I would consider to be a hobby. Used to do a lot of sport, model engineering, DIY computer jobs and considered a career in music at one point (drumming). My career now (digital nerd) is fairly full-on, so I just run a couple of times a week, go to the cinema, gigs, on walks/hikes, on holiday etc, and that's enough. I wouldn't consider any of these things to be a hobby. I'll know the day I get a proper hobby again because I'll be massively obsessive about it - got a lot of respect for people who are very knowledgeable in an area that isn't related to their 9-to-5. :)

Used to have hobbies, but not any more

This is where all my spare time goes now.

no complaints though, fitter than i have ever been. Amazing what you can do on so little rest :D

you lot are far too active for an old bloke like me.

When I'm not working I've usually got a spanner close by fixing either my triumph stag or classic mini cooper, or someone else's classic car. Also like to travel but not too exotic, net surfing, eating out with friends and (going to sound corny this) helping friends and family to do stuff

Boring, sorry

I can't believe Woots hasn't been on to lower the tone of this thread yet :D
