whats your favorite motorsport?

Doggedly still F1, going to British GP this year, agree it needs a total overhaul though. 80's and 90's BTCC, the RS 500's we're brill, way too much power for the tail happy sierra, door banging wheel to wheel racing, great stuff. 80's rallying, RS 200's and Metro 6R4's blasting through Chatsworth. Early 90's rallycross, Will Gollop vs Mr nasty Martin Schanche. Club racing at Donnington, some great blast from the past cars.

Rallying has always been what i like most.... And competed in many years ago..

Touring cars is still good, even though its not a patch on the Cleland days...lol..

Motorcycle road racing like the IOM and Northwest 2000 are brilliant to watch....so exciting..

I loved F1....It was great to see the pinnacle of engineering racing every other weekend, but its crap now.... The cars are boring and easier to drive than they have ever been... Its billions of dollars wasted imho..

In the past it was rallying and auto grass racing in which I build and raced various cars.It all came to and end when we started a family.
Today it has to bike racing TT,BSB,WSB,Moto GP and Irish Tarmac Rallying.

Still F1.
Been to Silverstone a few times and Spa at the time of the massive shunt at the start
Marshalled on the Lombard RAC rally (when it was a rally) in the 80's/90's with the group B cars.
Enjoy motogp now

Would love to go to the TT. I deal with company on IOM. They keep telling me to come before they ban it!

For me it's F1 .... Went to Barcelona in 2013 to which Alonso won absolutely loved, me and the wife are road tripping to Belgium (spa) in August taking the zed can't wait. Will document my journey WIFI permitting.

A few years back I loved anything with 4 wheels the louder the better but since taking up amateur motorsport photography I love the bikes the best as the shots are far more rewarding I still enjoy shooting cars especially classics but bikes just have the edge and the racing is very close.

Cars just don't produce shots like this

Used to love Rally Cross when it was on the telly. BTCC, GT3, MotoGP & TT nowadays, but only occasionally.

john-e89 Surely John Cleland was the master at being grumpy ?

Moto GP,Moto 2,Moto 3,TT, WSBK,BSB and strangely enough NASCAR....gotta love the sound of them V8's and the crashes are quite spectacular too, especially when you realize they be doing 190mph!!!!!!

Ha! Well it's a close one StuartC, 1990 BTCC F1 support race after Mansell had won, half way round Sytners M3 conked out, film crew caught up with him stomping down the pits to his garage, interviewer walking rather quickly to keep up, Frank looking straight ahead and not acknowledging him, word for word,

"Frank can I ask what the problem was"?

"Engine"

"What was the matter with it"?

"Did'nt work".

Guy on the Mike had the sense to call it quits after that.

Thought I'd put my two-pennith worth in being as I'm a motor [car] marshal :)

F1 - okay if you can afford to go - boring on TV
NASCAR/IndyCar - -ditto-
DTM - another -ditto-
Formula E - not as electrifying as they all made out

V8 Supercars - awesome - even on TV
WEC / Blainpanc - Love them if you like long[er] races [3/6/12/24 hours]
BTCC - Getting better [p.s. maybe I'm biased  ]
