I think you could be right Bing

I am thinking of swapping it, I just haven't gelled with it like I thought I would & I've wanted one for as long as I can remember aswell, it's a shame but it hasn't lived up to its reputation in my eyes.

That's proper horrible Lee, feel for you  What is it they say about meeting your idols ?
Thanks very much Bing

I agree with your sentiment regards idols too, I have lusted after a M3 for years in any guise & i had driven the E36/E46 models as my friends owned them & i test drove the E92 back in jan 2008 & i have wanted one ever since but its ultimately left me flat & it's a massive shame.

I can't tell you how grateful I am for this information, especially coming from a previous Zed owner.
The lure of the Dark Side ... oops, I mean the lure of the M3 is strong, but I think you've broken the curse.

Pleased to be of assistance :)

I wished I didn't feel the way I do about it but you only really get to truly know a car when you use it regularly & its genuinely has left me disappointed.

On my old Z4M it was the 1st to 2nd gear changes & low speed ride that frustrated me the most...but the S54 more than made up for it! :driving:

The one thing that annoys me is the lack of anywhere to put a phone without having it in a cradle on the windscreen, there isn't a single flat surface at the front of the car. They really should have put one by the ash tray somewhere.

Get a brodit mount - mounting specifically designed for the Z dash, holder for pretty much whatever phone you have

The annoyingly shallow door pockets - which everything falls out of, and the fact my sunvisor doesn't have anywhere to stick my car parking entrance ticket. The latter means I have to use the little hole in the central console, which it invariably falls out of, resulting in having to put all the seats up and forward to look for it :(.

You need the spare first aid kit fitted underneath the driver seat. Sorts all of that out ...

I do have the first aid kitted fitted under the drive seat. It came complete with the very out of date original first aid kit. Never thought of using that.... problem solved !

OOOOOOH me getting confused. I only have one under PASSENGER seat, none under driver seat. No first aid kit in either, as I now carry a kit in the boot. BUT I could use the passenger side one and just reach, as I hardly ever have passengers when I go to work.

The box is cheap to buy and easy to fit. Ideal for passport and sunglasses

The utterly pointless Sport button on the ///M - a triumph of marketing over engineering.

The heated seats that I hate the feel of, and which just add needless weight and complexity.

Cupholders - I mean who drinks in their car???

The red light at the end of the rev counter that always stays on. A red light on the dash should mean that there's a problem.

But the engine more than makes up for all the downsides!

I drink in my car. Sometimes :?

But the cupholders are too delicate for sure - I am always scared of breaking them.

I eat and drink in my DD because it's my office my workspace.
No food or drink is allowed in the Z

My Z is my DD - eating only on long trips though.
